Tips From Your Techs #5

Here's another round of "Tips from your Techs" Some of you may be knee-deep in production or gearing up for a busy season (especially our customers in Caborca), so here are some helpful tips to keep your machinery happy.

  1. Keep your spare parts kits stocked. As mentioned by our last guest contributor, agricultural engineer Steve Dragt, even the best machines will wear out parts with time. If your machinery is older than a year then we recommend checking your spare parts kits and ordering the necessary replacements. Keeping these items readily available eliminates shipping and ordering time. We understand that time is precious and you're now able to pay for parts a lot faster using a credit card.

  2. Schedule a preventative maintenance. A preventative service will help you get ahead of any issues that may arise. Let's think of it this way, you take your luxury car for yearly inspections and frequent oil changes, well why not invest the same type of care into your packaging machinery? We are also offering service plans. Purchasing a service plan gets you a preventative maintenance, telephone support, and discounts on parts and services to help you save money!

  3. Check your air and electrical. Flow-pack's need clean dry air and clean reliable power. For the air, clean your separators and filters, check your compressor oil levels, and purge the airlines before installing. Electrical systems in the flow-pack's protect them from most problems but loose connections, weak breakers, and undersized service can cause headaches.
